There is a critical need to increase organ, eye and tissue donation in New York State, where nearly 7,962 patients are waiting for an organ transplant, and thousands more await healing tissue transplants. With only 48.9% of our population enrolled in the NYS Donate Life Registry, we have among the lowest percentage of residents who have registered as organ, eye and tissue donors in the United States, and Donate Life New York State is committed to turning that around as quickly as possible.
In order to achieve our goal of providing a transplant to every New Yorker who needs one, we rely on financial support from the public, corporate and affiliate members, private foundations, and corporations. Your financial contribution goes directly toward programs and initiatives to improve the lives of all those affected by organ, eye and tissue donation.
