Donate Life NYS is thrilled to welcome former New York State Senate Majority Leader John J. Flanagan to our Board of Directors.
John is currently Vice President of Regional Government Affairs for Northwell Health’s Eastern Region. Prior to that role he had a long, successful career in the NYS legislature as both an Assemblymember and Senator. Between 2015 and 2019, John served as the NYS Senate Majority Leader, and as Minority Leader from 2019 to 2020.
As a lawmaker, John was instrumental in raising public awareness about the need for increased organ and tissue donation. He was a true champion for Donate Life NYS, advocating for both funding and legislative initiatives to improve Registry enrollment rates in the state. John has been a great friend to the donation and transplant community. Please join us in welcoming him to this new role as a member of our leadership team.
