2022 Donate Life Month Theme: Bee a Donor!

The theme of 2022’s Donate Life Month, “Bee a Donor,” was inspired by the vital role bees play in sustaining life. Bees are a small but powerful force, working together with dedication, collaboration, and a strong sense of community. As a vital partner of Donate Life NYS, elected officials play a significant role in our interconnected effort to save lives by making the public aware of the opportunity to register their decision to “bee” a donor. On behalf of New York’s donation and transplant community, we thank you for the lifesaving work you do every day!

We know you’re busy-bees, so we’ve prepared resources to make it easy for legislators to celebrate Donate Life Month. Creating a Buzz about Donate Life Month is as Easy as 1…2…3!

1. Hold a press event. Coordinate with your local Donate Life partner(s) to invite speakers and mission-connected volunteers to attend. This is a great time to hold a flag raising ceremony. 2. Leverage the power of social media. You can access sample social media posts and graphics, as well as testimonial videos of organ transplant recipients by downloading the resources above. You can also share posts and videos directly from our social media pages. Find us @DonateLifeNYS or by clicking the social media icons found in the top header of this website.
3. Decorate to raise awareness. Display our posters and postage-paid Registry enrollment brochures in your office or in the hallway beside your door. Decorate your office in blue and green.
