Cayuga County, NY — The Cayuga County Clerk and the Department of Motor Vehicles are gearing up for their 16th Annual Organ Donor Month.
On Monday, April 3rd, The DMV and the Cayuga County Clerk will teaming up with NYS Donate Life to encourage more people to become organ donors. The campaign will run through April and into May.
Only 46% of adults have enrolled in the New York State Donate Life registry, compared to 61% of eligible residents signed up to be a donor in Cayuga County.
This year’s theme is, “Make A Splash!” Anyone over the age of 18 can sign up to be a donor through a very easy process. The event will also have local organ donor recipients to help answer questions anyone may have.
