NYSAC and Donate Life NYS joined together to launch a statewide collaborative campaign, “Working Together, Working for Life,” to raise awareness of the importance of organ and tissue donation. Together the two organizations are taking bold steps to help save and improve the lives of thousands of New Yorkers in need of transplants.
To increase the awareness of this issue, county governments are encouraged to host press events where they raise the Donate Life Flag over one of their official county buildings. County officials are leaders in their communities and waving the Donate Life Flag will make a significant impact on gaining cultural awareness and support for organ and tissue donation. These public expressions of support can make the difference to those thousands of men, women and children waiting for a lifesaving transplant.
