Hear from Donate Life New York State Executive Director Aisha Tator, Putnam County Clerk Michael Bartolotti, and NYS DMV Commissioner Mark Schroeder at a press conference celebrating National Donate Life Month. This year’s theme, “Let Life Sing!”, highlights the chorus of partners statewide to harmoniously amplify our message of hope and healing across the Empire State.

At the press conference, we will recognize the vital role of the Putnam County DMV in supporting organ and tissue donation and celebrate a major milestone, more than 51% of eligible New Yorkers are now registered organ donors.

Still, nearly 8,000 New Yorkers are waiting for a lifesaving transplant. In fact, New Yorkers have among the longest wait times in the entire nation. Nearly 900 New Yorkers have waited 5 years or more for a transplant. By coming together, you can help spread the word and encourage more New Yorkers to register as organ, eye, and tissue donors.
